IOSH Managing Safely is typically a 4-day course aimed primarily at managers and supervisors working in pretty much any type of organisation or business sector. It is designed to give them the knowledge and information required to effectively manage health and safety within the workplace.
The IOSH Managing Safely course will cover relevant issues such as:
- The concept of "managing safely"
- Assessing and controlling risks (risk assessment)
- Identifying hazards
- Understanding your responsibilities (i.e. the legal framework)
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring performance
- Protecting our environment
What makes us different?
With over 20 years of experience of training, at Associated Training & Consultancy we know that getting people fully involved, having fun, and learning by doing is by far the most effective way for delegates to absorb information, particularly in health and safety courses which include a lot of detail. Our IOSH Managing Safely course gets delegates really thinking about the information they are learning, as well as giving them confidence and enthusiasm to put this newly-acquired knowledge to effective use when they get back to the workplace.
All of our IOSH Managing Safely tutors are qualified and experienced health and safety professionals. Each delegate will receive an IOSH Managing Safely workbook on arrival for use during and after the course.
Certification
At the end of the course, candidates are required to take a multi-format assessment and a short workplace-based practical project. Those who successfully pass these assessments will receive the IOSH Managing Safely certificate.
Unlike some training companies who try and squeeze as many fee-paying delegates as possible on their courses, we limit the numbers on our Managing Safely courses, which enables the course tutor to spend appropriate time with those delegates who may need a little extra attention. This is why our pass rate is much higher than the national average!
Course Locations
We run the IOSH Managing Safely course as an open course in a variety of locations around the UK; scheduled dates can be seen below. We can also run the course at your premises, which can mean much less hassle for you as you don't need to arrange travel, hotels etc for your attendees. We charge per day rather than per delegate, which means an in-house course can be much more cost-effective if you have quite a few people you want to put on the course.
